went down for a project meeting this afternoon with client B in norwood. other than to look over some graphic mockups, i really didn't need to be there. however, i didn't mind: with temperatures in the mid 80's, it was a great day for a long motorcycle ride. i wore contacts for a change, along with a pair of sunglasses. i traveled down the VFW parkway for the very first time, cutting through jamaica plain, roxbury, and dedham, a picturesque thoroughfare through posh residential homes underneath a canopy of trees. the parkway then becomes the providence highway into norwood. i finally met the designer today; we'd worked together on past projects but i've never seen him before. he wasn't what i pictured: i imagined a young man but in real life he was much older, married, and had very well-manicured fingernails. together with the project manager, the three of us all sported goatees for some strange facial hair reason.

with the meeting over, i headed back into town. since it was still relatively early and i didn't want the day to go to waste, i stopped by the arnold arboretum along the way to get some photos of spring. these artificial gardens like the arboretum or the mt.auburn cemetery are nice, but because they're so managed there's very little in terms of wild nature. a few pretty flowering trees, that was the extent of it.

i was famished by the time i got home around 4pm, not having eaten the whole day. after a shower (i was sweaty from riding in the hot sun and then walking around the arboretum), i ate some leftover food my father had delivered last night along with my chinatown request. everything tastes good when you're hungry. much later, in the evening, i had some more vodka sauce rigatoni for dinner while alternating between the red sox game and the celtics game.
