more than a month after it first came out, i finally got my hands on a copy of OS X 10.5 leopard. you'd think i'd be excited to install it and try it out, but to be honest, i'm not. why? leopard is UGLY. the only reason why i'd even bother to upgrade is to just have the latest OS running. there's no feature in 10.5 that turns me on enough for me to want to switch. 10.4 tiger is just fine. for one thing, it's not ugly. plus, it's compatible with all my macs. leopard won't even install on my desktop G4, despite the fact that i've upgraded the CPU to a 1.8Ghz processor. so i think i'm going to hold off on leopard for now. i may install it on an external firewire drive and play around with it a little bit off my macbook pro, but i'm hesitant about upgrading for real.

it's so cold, i can't stand it! winter hasn't even officially arrived yet and i'm already surrendering. maybe it'd help if i didn't just prance around my house in my t-shirt and shorts (actually, they're my boxers, maybe too much info). i should seriously start thinking about getting a space heater for my bedroom. and invest in some warm socks.

for those interested: more french toast and kielbasa for lunch. outdoor temperature was below freezing and it actually flurried for a little bit. in the evening i went to the cafe for dinner before going to my parents' place to help my sister with some website stuff. my father gave me a ride back to cambridge.
