"i don't think it's going to snow," zhu lei said to me with a snicker when i came out of my bedroom around 5pm to close the blinds in the living room. this after i told him on friday that a potentially serious snowstorm was heading our way this weekend. however when i left the house an hour later to have dinner with my family, there was already about a quarter inch of powder on the ground.

today's my sister's birthday so my family went to koreana for korean barbecue. the restaurant was surprisingly crowded on such a snowy night, people seemingly little concerned with the inclement weather. i didn't get my sister any sort of birthday present other than a packet of gum i just happened to have in my bag.

when i returned home the snow had stopped, a little drizzle taking its place instead.

the rest of the day was spent mostly in my bedroom, trying to stay warm and watching a few football games. i was rooting against the colts in their match-up against the jacksonville jaguars, but unfortunately they won. the eagles - who almost beat the patriots last weekend - had a chance to beat the seattle seahawks in the final drive but once again failed to score and their backup quarterback threw an interception to put a nail in the coffin. tomorrow night new england versus baltimore. getting closer to a perfect season, the pressure is starting to build. can't wait to see what happens tomorrow on monday night football.
