the kitchen of my parents got another round of clean-up today. my father wanted to paint but i wasn't dressed for the occasion, and besides, there was still some prep work to be done. we're definitely painting tomorrow though, priming the ceiling and the remaining walls. today we washed the grease off the cabinets, sanded the walls, and taped around the perimeter. i came back home in the afternoon with a box of rice noodles for lunch. later i went with my mother and aunt to get some groceries. returning once more, i installed my newly arrived 500gb internal hard drive and set my computer to do a massive data transfer. once that's done, i'm going to back up my macbook pro and see if i can get it fixed at the apple store. there's something wrong with the screen: besides a large white blob in the middle of the LCD, in recent weeks i've noticed dust behind the glass. with just about a month left in my warranty, i'm hoping they be able to fix it for free. in the evening i made some pasta for dinner (with enough leftovers to eat a few more nights).
