the weather today was just terrible. overcasted, dark, cold, with the sky threatening rain at a moment's notice. all my plans of going out were dashed. instead i whittled away my day doing indoor stuff. i made another omelette, using the following ingredients: 3 eggs, a dash of milk, a teaspoon of capers, cucumber slices, piece of ham, and a scoop of salsa.

there was house sparrow party happening outside my place. these birds were jumping on the roofs of cars, hopping around on the streets, chirping noisily, and pecking at all the fallen tree flowers and seeds.

i had ramen for dinner while watching the red sox game. curt schilling lost against the rockies. the victory was so lopsided, the manager took out all the good players in the final innings. and guess what? yankees won again, extending their winning streak to 8 games now. they are now 9 games behind the red sox and for the first time in a while they're above .500 now. i also watched another episode of wild palms. i still can't tell if the show is good or not but i love the teenage drama. it's no dawson's creek but the storyline is hinting at a supernatural element (maybe even zombies, fingers crossed).

sometime in the evening i decided to check my front steps for any delivered packages. surprise surprise, two things were waiting for me. one was my new memory card (with this new card i instantly double my total compact flash storage capacity). the memory card's so big, my camera can't even display an accurate count of available photos, instead just giving me the maximum 999. the second item was an oyster mushroom growing kit (i thought it was a box of blank discs, it was so heavy). i got that from an ohio mushroom grower in exchange for letting them use one of my china mushroom photos. so look forward to oyster mushroom growing photos sometime during the summer.
