i woke up this morning to a changed american landscape. overnight the government switched from republican to democrat. last night i knew the democrats had won the house, but later during today it was confirmed that they had won the senate as well. and then bush had his afternoon news conference to announce the resignation of donald rumsfield. this whole system of checks and balances, hey, it actually works! i don't care what your politics are, but you have to admit a change of government can only be a good thing since whatever we're doing now really hasn't been working very well. i look forward to seeing what this governing body can do with the mess we're in now.

i actually did some code work today, it was like riding a bike. with all the other stuff i've been doing (traveling, blog, watching tv, getting audited, etc.) sometimes i forget what it is exactly i do for a living. for lunch (and dinner) i had the rest of my kentucky fried chicken. i've said this before, i actually like cold chicken better (the same goes my turkey at the end of this month).
