i had a deadline today so i slept restlessly last night, waking up early to get a head start on some final bug fixes. the light snow falling this morning soon became little ice pellets of hail, and the sky would alternate between overcast and sunshine. i went down to cambridgeport in the afternoon for a meeting with client P. by the time i was done the sun was setting on the horizon yet it was snowing at the same time. since the cambridge police department was nearby i went to report yesterday's suspicious activity. just as i suspected, there was nothing they could really do; and in fact i was slightly reprimanded for not calling them after it happened, and for following the suspect a few blocks afterwards (apparently this is considered "dangerous"). i left the station wishing that i hadn't gone in the first place. as soon as i got home i was thrown back into the fray with client S; something was wrong with the code and delivery couldn't go out until i fixed it. i was pretty much on standby for the next few hours, and nobody told me everything was all set until i noticed nobody was online anymore. for the next 2 weeks i'll be working on project P, much easier and i get paid more. for dinner i made some more french bread pizza and watched half a dozen episodes of my name is earl and the office that i'd been taping.
