definitely one of those days, and for the rest of the week. these last remaining moments of 2005 won't be fun ones as i continue to scramble to finish up some code for a deadline next week. it certainly doesn't help that it's been so cold inside my house, and this recent arrival of wet chilly weather only aggravates the situation. i tried not to think about all the people who have the day off today, but the fact that there's nobody on my instant messaging list was a sad reminder. after 8 hours of continuous coding, i took a break to warm up in the bath. the water was so hot i was red all over, but it was a quick relief from the cold. i had some leftover turkey for dinner (as well as lunch), then watched some monday night football (the historical last game of the storied ABC franchise). andrew called, asking what i was doing on new year's eve. if the weather's nice, i'm going to be out spending a quiet evening with the stars.

now it's back to work with perhaps 6 more hours of coding before going to bed. i'm not sure i can finish everything tonight though, there's just too much to do. i also have to pace myself, otherwise i'm going to be completely burned out and i won't be able to work the rest of the week.
