a wrong number woke me up this morning and afterwards i couldn't fall back asleep, so i got up and watched the christmas story marathon on television. i watched it a few times but that movie is so great, i could watch it some more. my mother brought fansusu and his wife over to check out my place (they've never seen it before), then in the evening i drove to my parents' for christmas day dinner along with my dozen flan.

after dinner we exchanged presents. i got a stack of cookbooks, including a pocket guide to dim sum. i also got a book about nature walks in eastern massachusetts, about a third of the places described i've already been to this year though, but a few places are new and worth visiting when the weather warms up. after my aunt lili and uncle matthew left, i drove my 2nd aunt back home to cambridge before returning home myself.
