i was cooking until midnight, and even then, i had to wait an hour for my flan to be done baking in the oven. to be honest, i didn't start making dinner until 10:30pm, after i got back from grocery shopping at star market, after i came home and worked on eliza's 30th birthday card with the craft supplies i got from pearl art center. what was i making for dinner? it wasn't so much dinner as what i was making for the leftover to be brought to work tomorrow for lunch. kristine brought in this fancy salad she made, with ingredients like roasted pepper, and there i was eating wendy's again, full of self-loathing and guilt yet at the same time very much jealous and wanting to have as delicious a leftover of a lunch as kristine. so tonight i made herb risotto served with slices of hot italian sausage, as well as edumame beans flavored with sea salt and a fruit salad of canteloupe and kiwi (i would've put in mango as well, but there wasn't enough space in my rubbermaid compartment box). i can't wait to go into work and show off! i'm so petty... on top of all that i made flan (for the millionth time), but a special event flan as it's my mother's birthday tomorrow, my father will come by my house during the day when i'm not home and pick up the birthday dessert.

when i arrived at work this morning, i was showered with gifts katrinka had brought back from her florida vacation, for taking care of her cat and fishes. i got one of those dashboard hula girls, but instead of a girl, it was a dolphin wearing a coconut bikini top and a grass skirt. i also got an orlando, florida keychain with the name "tony" on it.

after our company meeting, kristine and i went running in this freakishly warm weather, temperature approaching 60 degrees. i went out in nothing more but a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. kristine wore shorts as well (they looked like they were formerly sweat pants but cut into shorts, even though kristine said they came like that) but had a hoodie. even though it felt like we were going very slow, we actually came back after about 35 minutes of running, which i find to be incredible, since we even walked at a few points, and took a detour looking for a place that sells mbta subway passes, but still managed to get back to the office under an hour. i think we must've ran through a wormhole of some sort and distorted the spacetime fabric.

coming home, i went to central square to get some felt (all sold out, except for a few ugly shades of green, which i took anyway, no choice), a piece of magenta poster board (they were out of black), and some glitter. at porter square, i went to cvs to see if my high blood pressure medication subscription had come through yet (not yet), and to hand in my cvs discount card form, where i immediately received a card. big savings here i come! other than star market (aka shaws), cvs is my second most shopped at store. i visited the cingular store on somerville avenue, talked with the guy about some of my wireless options. cingular has a pretty sweet deal with their rollover minutes, but i'm worried about their coverage, like a vast portion of upper new england isn't included, including vermont, new hampshire, and maine. but when am i ever going to visit those states anyway?
