so this is monday. a rather bland day peppered with some work, mostly burning the master cd's so we can do a last minute review before burning multiple copies to be shipped out to the clients. we received word today that one of three language sets officially went gold and will be going to manufacturing. now i know i'm suppose to feel relieved and happy but i can't rest until they all go gold and this project is completely done and we never have to hear about it ever again.

i went down to the galleria mall for lunch, where i caught up with david and julie. i tried the new "restaurant" in the food court, the latin grille. i went with what julie was having, which was the jerked chicken with fried plantains. the chicken was okay, the hot sauce helped, but the plantains were too mushy and thick and i could only eat a little bit. a welcomed change, but not sure if i would get it again. afterwards i went to sears where i bought the craftsman 63 piece mechanics tool set ($40), standard father's day present.

i left work at 5pm, the earliest i've left the office in a while. i got caught in peak rush hour traffic though, there's definitely some advantages to leaving work a little later, to avoid the commuting crush. on the bus i got a window seat and almost fell asleep, the warm lazy afternoon like a drug, the side effect being drowsiness. i got home, changed out of my work clothes, and immediately got on the phone with nikon tech support, trying to get the authorization i needed to resend the camera back to the factory for yet another fix. when i called customer support to get a mailing label sent to me (so i wouldn't have to pay for the shipping), i was put on hold for 25 minutes before i gave up on them.
