for the second night in a row, i go to the gym after another extra inning day of work. tonight's more crowded, must be the monday-wednesday-friday people. i'm not even going to mention the men's locker room, suffice to say that once again i got more glimpses of naked men than i really care for. i change quickly and exit the locker room. tonight's workout will be on the stationary bike, the kind where you sort of almost lie back and peddle in a horizontal position. it's a very relaxed machine, you can totally be doing something else while you're peddling, like read a book, do a crossword puzzle, or write in a journal, like what i am doing. i end up doing 30 minutes for a burn of 210 calories and a distance of 10.8 km. i have the machine at level 5 (maximum is 20) and put it in level 10 for the final 5 minutes. i was dying in those last few minutes as the resistance on the bike increased, like running in water. the bike also has special handgrips that can measure my heartbeat while i workout. when i finish, i try my luck on this nautilus machine that's suppose to work your deltoids and triceps (some circular curling machine, forgot the name), but i don't get very far, just enough to play with and feel some pain tomorrow. my upper body is already in a little bit of pain from yesterday's brief play at some nautilus machines.

during lunch i went to the mall with mandy and carrie. highlights include getting sprayed with perfume at the cosmetic section of filene's, some sort of estee lauder fragrance. i can still smell it. i did it to get some attention back at the office, but when i got back, nobody noticed, even though i was drenched in scent.
